A printing engineer by qualification, Umesh has more than 14 years of experience working in the printing packaging industry.

He has worked with companies like Esko earlier, and is now working with HP Indigo for the past couple of years managing the packaging segment. His job involves working with Brand Owners to leverage on the new developments in digital print for packaging & how HP’s technology can be used for increasing consumer engagement, brand protection, reduce packaging waste & making a pack more sustainable.

ANUJ BHARGAVA

Kumar Labels was established by Anuj Bhargava in 2007. Prior to founding KL, Anuj worked for Corning Display Technologies in Shizuoka, Japan where he led the development of packaging for LCD. With an M.S. in Engineering & Production Management from the US and a BE in electronics, Anuj runs Kumar Labels like an engineering firm, innovating each day in process, materials, and equipment. Anuj has several patents granted to him, including for SRTF Technology which offers a significant reduction of the carbon footprint associated with labels.

Anuj had led KL forward with backward integration in labelstock, machine manufacturing, and soon in metalization. KL has two plants in Noida, one in Goa, and soon to start in Indore, Hyderabad, and Nepal.

Mr. Pranav Gupta is a third-generation Indian publisher who grew Prints Publications multi-fold, not just in revenue but also in reputation and global markets. A young leader currently serving as the elected Secretary-General, Indian Reprographic Rights Organisation (IRRO) and Joint-Secretary, The Federation of Indian Publishers (FIP). He is also an elected Director for the Afro Asia Book Council. Through his constant efforts, the organisations have established a digital face and curated unique events that support the industry in networking and promoting individual businesses. Pranav is also the elected Executive Committee Member of the International Publishers Association (IPA). He takes pride in being one of the limited publishers who’ve not used the power of digital & tech but created multiple brands around it. Some of the brands he represents include Prints Publications, Frontlist Media, Advit Toys, OMLogic, Pragati, Solh Wellness, and Buy Books India.

Vikrant Mathur was appointed as Executive Director of Nielsen Bookdata in 2010 when Nielsen launched BookScan India.

Vikrant Mathur and his team are responsible for the development and sales of Nielsen Book’s range of services including Discovery (BookData product range) and Research services (including BookScan) in the region. He was responsible for the APAC market including Australia and New Zealand. Recently, the team is involved in territorial expansion into the UAE market, work is in progress.

The team is instrumental in educating the book industry about the importance of metadata for both publishers and booksellers and the benefit and value to their businesses. Nielsen Book Research services operate in the UK, US, and India and offer Nielsen Books & Consumers Survey and bespoke consumer research, enabling the book industry to gain valuable insight into consumer purchasing behaviour for print and digital books.

Vikrant has over 22 years of experience in the Client leadership roles and has worked across verticals including information, technology, and consumer markets. He has shown great dexterity in market intelligence by providing strategic reviews for global clients and helping them to resolve complex business decisions in a competitive market. Vikrant is a Management graduate from Lucknow University, India.

His print production creative assignments have been widely appreciated in India and on international platforms.

As Director of Printmann Group, Ankit Tanna’s key focus areas are Finance and Supply Chain across the group’s four business verticals. He is responsible for managing company-wide projects primarily related to strategic growth initiatives, corporate finance, and sourcing process optimization.

Over the past 16 years with Printmann Group, he has played an instrumental role in the organization’s strategic investment and expansion decisions. His innate leadership quality has helped him mentor and develop efficient and professional teams within the organization.

Ankit has earned his Master’s degree in MSc, Finance, and Accounting from Manchester Business School, UK, and a Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies from the University of Mumbai. He is also a proud member of the Ascent Foundation.

He has headed in the past many reputed organizations such as AIFMP, The Bombay Master Printers Association, Federation of Print Laminators Association of India, and many more like PAMEX, NAEP, etc. Last but not least he has spearheaded many corporate social responsibility initiatives in health care, education, and aged care. From 11th of June 2021 onwards, he has also assigned the additional charge as the Vice-Chancellor of Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, Khanpur Kalan, Sonepat,( www.bpswomenuniversity.ac.in ) for ten months . An ardent follower of Sanatana Dharma and Bhagavad Gita. On February 22 of 2020, Government of India granted him Honorary Colonel rank and appointed as Colonel Commandant at NCC (PHHP&C – Directorate) considering his unparalleled contribution in academia, research and administration. Indian Society of Analytical Scientists (ISAS) honoured him with the “Life Time Achievement Award” in 2015. SDC (Society of Dyers & Colourists-UK) awarded “Silver Medal” for the outstanding contribution to the global graphic arts industry and education in 2015 at York, UK and a voting member to the SDC trustee board. Associated with Govt of Kerala in the “Emerging Kerala” projects and later appointed as Chairman, Kerala Govt Presses Upgradation Committee, reporting directly to Hon‟ble CM Shri. Pinarayi Vijayan. Visiting professor to many Indian universities and produced 4 PhD‟s and 5 ongoing. Associated with BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) in TC 130 to develop standards for Indian print industry.
