Prof. (Dr.) Anjan Kumar Baral, has acquired in-depth knowledge and expertise in the areas of Print and packaging education & research, besides extensive industrial exposure, signing numerous MoU’s with academia/corporate, establishment of state of art printing and packaging laboratories and organizing various international and national level printing activities. Dr. Baral has Published more than 100 research papers in reputed journals, guided seven Ph.D. scholars and authored three books in Printing Technology. Prof. Baral has been associated with many printing and packaging industries, universities, research centres and public service commissions in India and abroad for various academic, research and administrative activities and assignments. He was instrumental in setting up a state of art, “Digital Print Applications” centre in his parent department fully sponsored by “Ricoh India Ltd.” in 2014, worth of Rs. 15 million INR.
Based on his contributions to the global graphic arts education, training and research, ‘Printing Industries of America’ (PIA) conferred it’s most prestigious ‘Global Education Award of Excellence’, award popularly known as ‘Oscar in Printing’ in Minneapolis in the year 2018, the first Asian personality to receive the honour in the history of PIA, USA. Also, he has received the prestigious award, “Print Ratna”, 2018 from Lucknow Printers Association, Lucknow and “Academic Excellence”, 2018 award from All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP), New Delhi. He is the recipient of prestigious “Presidential Print Award”, 2021, towards acknowledging the outstanding services for the cause of printing, especially Print education in India, by President, AIFMP, New Delhi.
In appreciationExcellence in Printing & Packaging Academic Contributions, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Haryana, Mahendergarh, Haryana, India, honoured its most coveted “PRINT EXCELLENCE” on 26-09-2022. Prof. Baral, has been appointed as the Chairman, Publications & Graphic Technology, Sectional Committee (MSD 6) of Management & Systems Development (MSD) council, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Government of India, New Delhi, in January, 2022. Also, a Member, MED 25 sectional committee, BIS, New Delhi. He has delivered numerous expert lectures at various Printing, Packaging and allied platforms in India and abroad. He has attended numerous training programs in India and abroad in Printing & Packaging Technology,also.
