Rajeshwar Matche is a Chief Scientist and Head of Food Packaging Technology, CSIR CFTRI, Mysore. He did his B.Tech at Dr. Annasaheb Shinde college of agricultural engineering, Rahuri, M.Tech at IIT Delhi and LLB at the University of Mysore. With over a decade of experience in the packaging industry, he has become a prominent figure in the field of food packaging. He is a chief scientist in Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI) from the year 2019.
He is also an angel investor in Inflection Point Ventures from the year 2021. He has expertise in predicting shelf life of moisture sensitive foods using mPACK software, Accelerated shelf life studies, Active and Smart Packaging systems, Modified Atmosphere packaging with patents in these fields. His area of interest is in the design of Ethylene Scavenger for ethylene sensitive fresh products for extension of shelf life and use of bio-antimicrobial agents. He has guided several Ph.D. and PDF candidates. He has published more than 28 research articles, 15 book chapters and 65 projects, with 205+ citations.
