Playpreneur and Founder, Bambaram
Santhosh Kr Subramanian is a playpreneur and the founder of Bambaram, a creative studio where work feels like play. He designs engaging games and play-based experiences for a wide range of audiences—from young children to working professionals—and for organizations of all sizes, from early-stage startups to large enterprises. With over 15 years of experience in the field of game design, Santhosh’s work spans multiple formats including tabletop games (board and card games), serious games for learning and change, and gamification solutions tailored to organizational goals. His designs are grounded in behavioral insights and first-principle thinking, making them not just fun but meaningful.
He has collaborated with a diverse mix of public and private organizations such as Funskool, Sun TV, Ashoka Foundation, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ICICI Bank, IDFC First Bank, Krea LEAD (formerly IFMR LEAD), Sa-Dhan, Chargebee, and FuelingBrains. In addition to project-based work, he also consults with startups and innovators in the play and learning space, helping them bring ideas to life through thoughtful design.
Santhosh is also the co-founder of Khel Planet Foundation, a nonprofit initiative that promotes life skills through play. Khel Planet was incubated at the prestigious Harvard Innovation Lab and UnLtd India, and has reached thousands of children through its programs. His work has been showcased at international platforms such as Games for Change in New York, a global conference on games for impact.
Beyond the world of games, he leads The BS Labz, a design agency focused on crafting playful yet strategic experiences in branding, storytelling, and behavior change.
