S Srikanth, Deputy General Manager at BRBNMPL, a subsidiary of the Reserve Bank of India. With over three decades of experience in Printing Technology and Banknote Production, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Printing Technology from Anna University. My career began in the Flexible Packaging industry, where I advanced from Production Executive to Unit in Charge, honing my skills in production management.
Since 1998, I’ve been with BRBNMPL, specializing in Indian Banknote production. My expertise spans Production Management, Product Testing, Productivity Optimization, Global Procurements, R&D, Banknote Design, Quality Assurance, and Strategic Planning. I’ve played a key role in setting up a state-of-the-art testing lab and an Ink Factory, indigenizing vision inspection systems, and developing SOPs and manuals.
I’m committed to global standards, demonstrated by my involvement in international calibration certifications and active participation in the state-level Excise Label Technical Committee. I also collaborate with Indian scientific institutes on currency production research and have represented BRBNMPL internationally in inspections, certifications, and conferences. Additionally, I’ve co-authored a paper on “Currency Denomination Structure and Cash Payment Efficiency: An Indian Perspective.”
