Associate Professor, Anna University
Prof. K. Vipinendran, is the former Director for the Centre for Alumni Relations and Corporate Affairs, Anna University, Chennai and an Associate Professor at the Department of Printing and Packaging Technology, Anna University Chennai. He is an alumnus from College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University with a total experience of 30 years in teaching, training and mentoring. He is also a post graduate diploma holder in print management from West Hertz College, United Kingdom. He has the distinction of attending this program as a British Council Scholar. He has published and presented papers in several international and national conferences/journals.
He started his career as a Production Supervisor in Graphic Media Pvt. Ltd. Chennai and served in the Printing Industry for three years to become the General Manager of Impress India Ltd. a Printing and Packaging Company before choosing teaching and training as a career.
He has also been the Placement Officer for Anna University and has the distinction of hinging and conducting several placement programs for the students of Anna University. He has the distinction of being the NSS Program Officer of Anna University for 10 years and has conducted several camps in villages in and around Chennai.
Apart from teaching Printing technology to under graduate and post graduate students at the university, he has the distinction of conducting workshops and delivering lectures on unique topics like Effective teaching, Brain Rewiring, Handling difficult people, Whole Brain Engineering, Brain Gym, Creative thinking and Total Quality Management for more than 100+ Indian companies, Government organisations and universities.
He has also worked with Late Prof Abdul Kalam, the former president of India on creating new teaching and learning methodologies. He is a Mentor for Surya’s Agaram Foundation and Aravind Alayam, an N.G.O involved in training children with learning disabilities. He is also involved in training teachers of schools and colleges in new teaching methodologies. He is presently the President of the Society of Printing Engineers and the Faculty advisor for the EQ club of CEG a unique first of its kind of student’s club for improving Emotional Intelligence.
His objective in life is to “Discover happiness and joy in everything he does by incorporating his core personal values into every goal… every plan.. and every action he takes… every single day and thereby contribute to the growth of every individual he comes in contact with”
